Meet Our Pastor
Bethany UMC welcomed Rev. Dr. Sandra “Sandi” Benton Plasters in July of 2024. Sandi has served churches throughout Virginia, as well as serving the conference and local community.

Our Mission
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. At Bethany United Methodist Church, this calling shapes everything we do—guiding our worship, our relationships, and our outreach as we seek to grow in faith and live it out daily.
We carry out this mission by seeking God in worship, connecting with one another through small groups, and serving the world by sharing God’s love. This simple, intentional rhythm is at the heart of our congregation and defines how we make disciples together.
SEEK → Worship
Encounter God’s grace through meaningful worship and song that inspires faithful living and spiritual growth.
CONNECT → Small Groups
Grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through authentic relationships, study, and shared prayer. Our small groups which include our bell choir, adult choir, youth group, United Methodist Women circles, and our United Methodist Men.
SERVE → Outreach & Missions
Live out God’s love by serving our neighbors and working together for healing, justice, and hope. You will find our outreach programs to our local community and abroad, through supporting ministries and a missionary in Cambodia.
